Booking Terms

  • The price is inclusive of all fees: electricity, heating and all bed linen and towels. It also includes the first light for the woodburing stove. (additional wood is available locally)

  • On receipt of a deposit of £250 we will confirm your booking. The hirer then becomes liable for the full balance of charges which are payable 8 weeks prior to the commencement date of the holiday.

  • Payment are preferred by Bank Transfer, details are provided on booking confirmation.

  • A booking made within 8 weeks of arrival date must be paid in full.

  • Only the persons named on the booking form are permitted to stay in the cottage during the period of hire.

  • The number of persons occupying Shelduck House should not exceed 8 and that includes children. We reserve the right to terminate the occupancy of the property without notice or refund in the case of a breach of this condition.

  • You are welcome to bring up to 2 dogs with you. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds.

Cancellation

  • If you have to cancel please inform us as soon as possible.

  • Should we be able to re let the accommodation your money will be repaid less an administrative charge of £50. In the event we are unable to re-let for the hire period all monies paid by you (deposit or otherwise) will be forfeited to us.

  • In the event that you are not allowed to travel or if Shelduck House is unable to take visitors due to the Covid alert level at the time you are meant to stay you can choose to postpone your stay or have a full refund.

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances (other than a pandemic) which make the house unavailable for your use, your booking fee and any rent paid will be returned to you in full.

Insurance

  • Our advice is that you check your insurance cover or alternatively obtain holiday insurance to cover the cost of your holiday.

  • Vehicles and property are left at the owner’s risk.

Occupancy

  • Tenancy runs from 3 pm on Saturday to 10 am on Saturday.

  • No smoking inside the premises.

  • The hirer is responsible for the condition of the property during the hire period. Breakages and damage must be paid for and it would be appreciated if you notify us in time to allow for replacement for incoming guests.
